What to expect
This Institution of Occupational Safety Health Management course is delivered over four-day period in a comfortable learning environment, where we hope the candidate will not only be able to absorb knowledge but enjoy their learning experience. They will meet and study with like-minded individuals from other organisations, enabling them to work towards a common goal. An excellent study book is supplied, free of charge, on the first day where they will be able to make notes and follow the course material.
On the successful completion of this course they will achieve this highly recognised IOSH Health and Safety Management qualification that will set them on their professional journey.
Course Content
This management health and safety course is organised into eight easy to understand modules; using interactive learning that will include, question and answer sessions, a pie chart quiz, DVD’s, board games and unique animation that is used throughout all of the course material.
These modules comprehensively cover a variety of topics relating to occupational health and safety and are entitled:
Module 1: Introduction to managing safety
Module 2: Understanding risk
Module 3: Controlling risk
Module 4: Understanding health and safety responsibilities
Module 5: Identifying hazards
Module 6: Investigating accidents and incident
Module 7: Measuring performance
Module 8: Environment considerations
Assessment
Each day will conclude with a revision session and on the second and third days a mock assessment paper will be given to confirm understanding.
The candidate will be able to confirm of their knowledge and understanding by completing an assessment paper of qualitative and quantitative questions on the last day.
They will also need to complete a risk assessment project; enabling them to showboat their knowledge and skill in identifying and controlling hazards and evaluate the residual risk.
They will be assisted in their education by our highly qualified IOSH lectures that will be available throughout your learning experience.
