What to expect

This course is designed by “Your Health and Safety Company” to support any organisation who wishes to educate their staff on the fundamentals of health and safety legislation.

It identifies the obligations and responsibilities for the “modern day manager”. This course is suitable for anyone who holds a position of trust and has a “duty of care” for their workforce and oversees work activities; these could include managers, supervisors, safety representatives and leading hands.

The delegates will receive information that will give them sufficient knowledge and understanding that will enable them to carry out on-site risk assessment whether it be in the office or on the shop floor.

As part of a supportive role Your Health and Safety Company will be on hand to offer advice and guidance before, during and after the training.

Our aim is to create a valuable member of any risk assessment team, able to participate and contribute to your organisations Health and Safety.

All successful delegates will be awarded a certificate of competence, verifying their skill and ability. This certification can be used as evidence and is a record of training.


What you'll learn

This learning course aims to ensure that delegates appreciate the importance of risk management and know how to make a difference to the health, safety and wellbeing of themselves and others by identifying hazards and evaluating the risk.

By the end of this course every successful delegate will be able to identify hazards and control risks by using the techniques demonstrated within these instructional lessons. These objectives will assist the delegates to understand and acknowledge their responsibilities in relation to the organisations policies and procedures; thus, creating a safe place of work for all.


Assessment

All delegates will be asked to complete an assessment paper and a risk assessment project relating to their working environment.

Regulation 3(1) of the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations (MHSW) requires every employer to make a suitable and sufficient assessment of the health and safety risks “arising out of or in connection with the conduct by him of his undertaking
